National Religious Freedom Preservation Petition
A Petition for a Redress of Grievances Regarding Judicial Transgressions of Religious Liberty

We the undersigned do hereby petition you, our elected representative in Congress for a redress of our grievances.

We, like our forefathers, recognize that we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights and that among them are the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Within this understanding, our freedom of religious speech and activity are among the most precious of rights and must be secured at all costs. In order to protect these rights from tyrannical government actions, our nation's founding fathers wisely chose not to delegate any authority to the federal government over religious matters. Furthermore, the First Amendment specifically prohibits the federal government from making any laws in any way respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

But as the Constitution has come to be increasingly ignored by all branches of government, the federal courts have unlawfully infringed on the rights of the states and the people and wrongfully demanded that their decisions be respected as the supreme law of the land.

Unconstitutional court decisions have prohibited Ten Commandments displays in local and state government buildings, punished the recognition of God by state or local governments, banned the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance and banned prayer at local schools. All these matters are outside of federal jurisdiction.

The lack of constitutional restraint on the courts and lack of congressional checks upon their power have led the federal judiciary to be a real and present danger to our religious freedom.

Therefore we, the people of this nation and the States, demand that Congress, and you as our representative, fulfill your constitutional duty and stop these habitual transgressions of the supreme law of the land by limiting the appellate jurisdiction of the federal courts in accordance with Article 3 of the Constitution.

We demand that Congress pass legislation that will prohibit the federal courts from taking cases that would in any way regulate, restrict or prohibit religious speech or activity in the States.

We respectfully demand, as your constituents and fellow citizens, that you sponsor or co-sponsor legislation that will effect this immediately.

We, the following, attest that we are at least 18 years old and are American Citizens.
