Good morning, it is always a pleasure to visit Charleston. Before I get started, I want to thank Ted Turner for making the movie Gettysburg for my rebirth of Southern consciousness. I walked into the movie as a "Wall Street yuppie type" interested in an action film and walked out a born again Southerner. Watching our brave Confederate soldier's meet death in the smoke and fire of Picket's Charge up Cemetery Ridge, conveyed the understanding of what they were fighting for. These soldiers were fighting and dying for the same beliefs of liberty that I share today. In defense of family, religious faith, state sovereignty and personal freedom from Washington's big government, confiscatory tax rates and for the decentralized limited government Republic of our Founding Fathers.

As you know, this is July 4th weekend when we are supposed to celebrate our US independence from Great Britain and the birth of the American constitutional republic. While millions of Americans will indeed enjoy the holiday - the limited constitutional republic established by America's Founding Fathers "IS NO MORE"! It has sadly been destroyed and replaced with an all powerful Washington empire.

On this day, there are two political events that will celebrate and promote both independence and an end to our dependence on Washington and for the return to the American Dream of our Founding Fathers. Today, on the West coast in California, the Libertarian Party is holding it's 8th national political convention. They will nominate my friend Harry Browne as their presidential candidate and I'll probably vote for him. But let's face it, the Libertarian Party while an educational success has been a total electoral failure.

But I'm here today to announce there is a new political force using new political tools on the horizon. We are here in Charleston, South Carolina to say to Washington and the world. - We have had enough of America's closed two party monopoly system of politics. We have had enough attacks on our history; our culture, our flag and we want our republic back!

We are tired of too much government, too much taxes and the loss of most of our personal, financial and economic liberties. We will use the democratic political process, the constitutional right of state secession and the Internet to win back self-determination, limited government and independence for all the people of Dixie.

It is appropriate that the Southern Party's first convention be held here in the city of Charleston. We all know this grand city is where the first secession convention was held back in 1860. Also this is the place where Lincoln created his illegal Fort Sumter incident to justify war and the invasion against an already independent Southern nation and her civilian population. To me, the spirit of Charleston represents far more than her brave history during the War for Southern Independence. The history of Charleston also closely parallels the history of an occupied Dixie.

This city's civilian population was under siege and terror bombed by Northern warships for a much longer period than either Stalingrad or Leningrad under attack by the Nazi's during World War II. Much of this city laid in ruins from the bombing and great fires that swept Charleston but the city survived. A few years later, an earthquake comparable in size to the Great San Francisco Earthquake again shook the very foundations of Charleston but she survived. As you tour the city, you can still see the earthquake bolts used to correct shifted walls and collapsed foundations. Around ten years ago, monstrous Hurricane Hugo slammed into the city with a direct hit and still she survived and prospered.

This history of surviving trials and adversity is a very similar experience to what our occupied nation, the Confederate States of America has endured since Lincoln's illegal invasion of the Southern States. The Confederacy was defeated and occupied by the overwhelming industrial might of the Washington Empire. Our nation and governmental institutions were occupied and ruled by non-elected military dictators loyal only to Washington.

Remember the payment of all private debts and those by the states and Confederate government used to support "The Rebellion" (their term not mine) were made illegal and unpayable in order to impoverish the vanquished Southern people. It was not until the 1970's that our standard of living again reached the prewar level of the 1800's. We were disenfranchised and not allowed to vote just as unfairly as Southern African Americans were denied the right to vote by the "white only" one party rule of the Southern Democratic Party.

Let us never forget that Washington's unlawful military occupation and reconstruction also created a racial divide that has been used first by the Republican Party (The Party of Lincoln) during reconstruction, later the Democratic Party played the evil race card through the early 1960's and again today the Republicans are using our ethnic origins to divide, conquer and win elections here in Dixie. We are here today to put the politicians of both major parties on notice. You cannot divide and conquer us any longer. Southerners are a people not a race, we are a nation not a mere group of provinces under the thumb of Washington bureaucrats and we will be free!

Here in Charleston, 140 years ago - Lincoln started the war by an illegal occupation of Fort Sumter out in Charleston harbor. This war killed over 600,000 Americans, North & South, East & West, white, black, Native American and recent immigrants. A war of invasion aimed primarily at civilian targets against an independent nation created by the Sovereign States that had the legitimate, constitutional right to withdraw from the United States.

To quote an earlier honorable Lincoln, before corrupted by power and controlled by the corporate special interests - that had to destroy an independent South or lose profits and trade to a low tariff, low tax Confederate States of America.

Any people, anywhere. Being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, a most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can, may revolutionize, and make their own of so much of the territory as they inhabit. --Abraham Lincoln, January 12, 1848 speech in Congress

But as we have learned by reading history or watching today's politicians, Lord Acton was right - Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the result was Lincoln's terrible five year war. Yes and all of this is in the past. As Washington apologists say - You lost the war now get over it.

Ladies and gentlemen, far more was lost in the War Between the States than just the lawful independence of the Confederacy. Many historians trace America's fall from constitutional republic to an aggressive, centralized empire to Lincoln's War. The United States went into the war a decentralized constitutional republic and came out a federal Washington empire that continues until this day to expand and threaten the remaining rights, property and liberty of every American citizen.

Since Lincoln's Fort Sumter incident, presidents have routinely lied to the American public in order to start wars and advance the power of the federal government. It worked at Fort Sumter in 1860, it was used in our treaties with Native Americans as we violated every treaty resulting in numerous Indian wars and conflicts. It was useful in the Hurst newspaper plan to wage war against Spain and annex Cuba and the Philippines. In recent history, the lie was used to fabricate the fake Gulf of Tonkin Resolution to get America into the Vietnam War. Finally, in the last few years it was used against Serbia in our terror bombing of that tiny little country that dared to say "no to Washington".

What has happened to our Founding Fathers American Dream of limited government, a neutral foreign policy and decentralized constitutional republic? It has been replaced by the Washington empire controlled by a closed two party Democratic and Republican Party monopoly. This is why all of us are here today. What can the Southern political movement do to turn defeat into victory?

Let's face facts - Southerners are daily victimized by cruel "redneck jokes" and characterizations by political leaders like Clinton and his hatchet man George Carval as "trailer trash" etc. The press, television and the movies enforce this Washington propaganda stereotype that all the people of the South are ignorant, stupid, prejudiced and second class citizens. This type of malicious attack on our people would be a hate crime against any other group in the United States today but all Southerners are "fair game" in this war of political correctness and total cultural war against everything we in the South hold sacred.

The political establishment wants to destroy our heritage, rewrite our history, bulldoze our monuments, burn and destroy our flag and make illegal the moral and religious values we hold dear. What is the future of a people that cannot celebrate their history, fly their flags or even hold a prayer to our God at a sports event?

See the flag of our nation - The Third National Flag of the Confederacy. I want to ask you why do they hate this sacred Cross of St. Andrew so much?

Did it ever fly over a single New England slave ship? No!

Was it ever flown by soldiers that helped exterminate almost 90% of the native American population? No!

Was it ever carried by the Klan in the largest KKK march in history up in Washington DC during the early 1900's? No!

Has an air force under this flag ever killed a million Vietnamese in carpet bombing during the Vietnam War? No!

Did it ever conduct atomic bombing on an already defeated Japan or firebomb German cities during World War II? No!

Has it led recent invasions and bombing of Serbia, Grenada, Panama, Haiti, or Somalia? No!

Has a government under this flag ever promoted millions of abortions and murders of the innocent unborn? No!

Did it ever end prayer in public schools and now even prohibit student led prayer at sports events? No!

Did this flag ever replace God, Christian morality and the Ten Commandments in our schools with secular ideas and government propaganda dished out in the place of reading, writing and arithmetic? No!

Has any Confederate flag ever taken 50% of your annual income in taxes when Social Security and Medicare are considered and up to 80% of your estate at death? No!

Did our flag ever let Washington SWAT teams to use poison gas outlawed by the Geneva convention for military forces and then burn alive over a hundred innocent mostly women and children in the Waco compound? No!

Finally, have sharpshooters under this flag and on the Washington payroll targeted and murdered an innocent wife and baby in their cross hairs at the government operation at Ruby Ridge? No!

So, I want to ask all of you here today, why does Washington and the big business, financial and political elite's hate this flag so much?

The answer, because our flag is the symbol of resistance to big government, empire and federal power. Washington is the only super power left today with US troops in over 140 nations. Secession and smaller, more efficient governments will be the rule in the new 21st Century. They fear our flag, they fear our movement, they fear the desires, hopes and dreams of America's founding fathers, our Confederate ancestors that dared challenge their empire. Brothers and sisters of Dixie - make no mistake - although small in numbers - they fear us here today!

To quote from the Roman Emperor in the recent movie Gladiator, how many of you saw the movie? Remember when the Romans were trying to subjugate another Germanic tribe that wouldn't take orders. Sounds familiar? The emperor looking down at the battle said, "A people should know when they are conquered". The Confederate Nation (a nation within a nation today) is currently occupied, our heritage and history are under attack but I want to ask each of you here today - are you conquered?

Your reaction to this statement, our flag are the symbols of resistance to Washington that they must destroy. This is why everything Southern and Confederate is under attack by total cultural war from Washington.

This is why most of us are here today at the first Southern Party national convention. Our Confederate founding fathers and America's founding fathers both fought for the same ideals of limited government, state & local sovereignty and low taxes.

Since Roosevelt's fascist "New Deal" during the turbulent 1930's, conservatives and libertarians wanting to hold back the "goose step" march of a growing Washington federal government have failed to stop the advance. We have supported hundreds of lobbying groups and organizations. Both major political parties and numerous third parties all with one result - failure! The same outcome has been taking place regarding our defense of Southern heritage and symbols. We wait for the next attack on our flag, conduct a defense, generally lose the fight and then wait patiently for the next attack - all the while apologizing for our resistance to tyranny.

Southern ladies and gentlemen - what is wrong with this picture? The problem is we have always fought on the defensive against big government and now to defend our Southern heritage. We have played by Washington's rules in a rigged political game that always guarantees our defeat!

Remember this, no war has ever been won by fighting a total defensive strategy. This gives the enemies of liberty the opportunity to pick the field of battle. It is no wonder we lose every major battle to defend liberty and limited government in this country. Also, it is not enough just to advocate the status quo rather we must offer an alternative to the politics of failure that have contributed to defeat after defeat for the last 70 years. The solution to big government is unified political action combined with the legitimate, constitutional tool of the threat of secession.

Today in Columbia, South Carolina the Confederate Flag comes down. This is a defeat and don't you let any other heritage organization attempt to convenience you other wise and is because of this failed strategy I've described earlier. Now many in the press, your politicians and your local Chamber of Commerce will compare this total public relations and marketing failure on our side to Robert E. Lee's defeat at Appomattox. I'm here to tell you today, to hell with a surrender at Appomattox, this is Dixie's "Pearl Harbor" - our wake up call to come together, stand together, organize together and turn the tide against those that would wage total cultural war against Dixie.

If we have learned anything from the South Carolina flag defeat - it is that we can not depend on elected Republican Party representatives in the Congress or at the state and local level to defend either Southern heritage or the limited government principals of America's lost republic. Let's face it, except for a few gallant exceptions, the Republican Party is just half of the American closed two party monopoly - no more and no less. Our nation has been led down the road to more federal power and less liberty by this rigged, closed two party system. While Republican rhetoric might sometimes embrace our goals of limited government - their actions show they are usually part of the problem and certainly not part of the solution.

The solution is political action but certainly we can count on few already elected officials to represent our interests. We have the Constitution Party on the ballot in a few states and we have the Libertarian Party that has been around since the early 1970's. Again, while an expensive educational success for liberty and the free market, it has been an electoral failure.

I believe the political solution is pro South candidates running on the Southern Party ticket when practical and in non party races and on the primary and actual ballot in other parties is the answer. This includes the Republican, Libertarian, Constitution, Reform and yes, maybe even an occasional Democratic Party race or two. The entire Constitution, Southern nationalist and heritage movement must create a broad cadre of candidates and political action that will promote our message at the national level in the media and electorally at the state and local level.

Our candidates should run in all political parties to help promote the message of free markets, a limited federal government and self-determination for Dixie. We can lead the way here in Dixie and show all Americans that the key to a return to the constitutional republic as established by Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and James Madison, our founding fathers will never be found in trusting or supporting the elected officials that have sold their souls and honor to the closed two party monopoly. It will never be found in third parties that never win elections.

We must build our own cultural, heritage, political and media resources that will get our message of hope, liberty, low taxes and limited government out all across the South. We must utilize existing institutions when possible, create new ones when necessary, as is an avowedly Southern oriented political party.

All Southern heritage, history and political organizations including the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the League of the South, the UDC, HPA and others including conservative and libertarian allied organizations must work for a common purpose and toward a common goal. More importantly for us here in Dixie, the different factions in these organizations must put Dixie and the Constitution first and their own agenda's, egos, personal power trips, and individual organizations second or we will surely loose this total cultural war against everything Southern and Confederate that is being waged by the Washington political establishment.

Why do they hate us and our Southern heritage so? How many times have I been asked this question after a speech or in private by the people of Dixie that just want to be left alone to solve our problems, raise our families and worship our God? What great sin in Washington's eyes have we committed to deserve this cultural war against Dixie?

The simple answer is we once resisted the Washington Empire and almost won. No other nation and no other people can say this. It is a historical fact! Washington's weakness today is the constitutional right of secession, the Internet and our dedication to the cause of freedom and liberty for every Southerner regardless of race, creed, color or religion. They know it and I'm speaking here today to make sure you know it.

Make no mistake, this battle will cost money. Those of us in the Southern nationalist movement and even including our conservative and libertarian allies will never be able to raise the money necessary to compete with the powerful special interests that support big government, corporate welfare and their growing control over our life, liberty and property. We simply can't play their rigged political game by their changing rules and hope to win.

To win, we must show that we have more than rhetoric on our side. We must show that we can produce results. Education isn't the answer it's an excuse for inaction. The solution is to show the millions that want to halt Washington, defend our proud Southern heritage and return to the American Dream of our founding fathers that this dream can only be accomplished by threatening the legal, moral and constitutional right of state by state secession in state constitutional conventions. This is the case in the South, in the North and out West.

The threat of secession as a political tool to control an over bearing and out of control central government is the solution to big government and tyranny around the world. It has worked for Quebec, it is working in Scotland, Wales, Northern Italy, the Isle of Man and it will work for Nevis, and British Crown territories like Bermuda, Grand Cayman, the Turks and Caicos Islands. I'm here today to tell you that it will also work to free Americans all over the United States from a too large, too powerful federal government.

The time of large empires, centralized, heavily indebted nation states is over today in the 21st century. Large nation states cannot compete in the 21st century age of information, financial and ultimately political freedom that will come from the Internet and a service based economy. Over 135 years ago, Robert E. Lee saw the future of the Washington empire when he stated, I fear the liberties of our country will be buried in the tomb of a great nation.

That is what has happened to the once great, free republic - the United States of America. Yes, America is still a great nation, a powerful nation but it has also degenerated into an empire. What we have today is a nation of provincial states ruled by a dictatorial, parasitic evil city state called Washington DC. It is no different than Rome in the ancient Roman Empire. What would Washington, Jefferson or 80 years later, John C. Calhoun, Jefferson Davis or Robert E. Lee do if they were in our situation today? What course would they follow? Everyone here knows the answer. Remember the Declaration of Independence. When in the course of human events……..

Let us begin here today, to lead Dixie, the United States and the world back to liberty, smaller and more responsive government and self determination. Who will take the first step and stand up against the Washington Empire? We will, the much maligned, occupied people of a short lived nation that was trampled under, destroyed, occupied and buried just like other peoples and nations that dared resist the Washington empire during the 19th and 20th century.

The South Will Rise Again and now its our turn to show the world that the American Dream of free markets, liberty, limited government and opportunity is not dead. It has just been buried for over 135 years by the Washington Empire. Our day is coming. The rebirth and resurrection of Dixie and the constitutional republic of America's patriot founding fathers will again be reestablished on the earth.

Remember the constitutional right of secession is the ultimate political tool against big government and a closed political monopoly. We don't have to play by their rules and working together with the benefits of the Internet will give us victory. Let us all get started to make this happen in our lifetimes.

How many of you were in the Montgomery, Alabama earlier this year at the League of the South Flag Rally? Raise your hands. Remember the feeling when thousands of Southerners began spontaneously to yell and chant INDEPENDENCE NOW! This is the legacy, God willing - we must leave our children. The choice for every American today is Washington Empire or Independence. There is no middle ground.

It seems he must promote a New Southern Nation after a neo monarchal model and not a Confederacy of independent State Republics. His bosses have been pressuring him. By the way, the threat of a lawsuit did not budge us and the article still remains in our archives. It exposes the sudden change in Holland's ideas which he is able to stand behind. The Abbeville Accord [to Rebuild the Southern Party]

Why We Must All Do Our Duty In Defending Dixie & Limited Government

It is an honor and pleasure to stand before you Southern men and Southern women here today here in Abbeville, SC, where the first organized meeting to adopt an Ordinance of Secession was held in Abbeville on November 22, 1860. We all know they voted unanimously to leave the Union; that site is now called Secession Hill.

Today, 143 years and 3 months later, on this day of our Lord February 22, 2003, another group of Southern patriots just as outnumbered and facing similar overwhelming odds as those who met to adopt the first Ordinance of Secession are again meeting here in Abbeville SC. My question for you as a group is "how many of you here today are willing to stand with me now and vote unanimously to also do our duty and begin again our struggle for a return to limited constitutional government and a free Southern nation?" Stand up and take your stand? I can clearly see and loudly hear that you all are with me. [No mention is found herein of restoring the Confederate States of America which never surrendered and needs only re-staffing, an increase in citizens and a push for a peace treaty and liberation from occupation. The Confederate States of America is not even mentioned in this or other speeches of Dr. Hill and now no longer mentioned by Ron Holland. Apparently, the CSA is not an acceptable form of government to the League of the South.]

This is an exciting time for Dixie. Gods & Generals was released yesterday and here we are today in Abbeville, S.C. finally reconciling and getting our political act together again after a long nightmare period of mistakes, infighting and failures. I want each of you here today to understand that this will not be an easy struggle. Let me read to you a message I received recently from a Virginia based establishment news reporter concerning my No Lincoln Statue Petition and the LewRockwell.com sponsored Lincoln Reconsidered Conference scheduled for March 22, 2003.

"Your time of controlling the south is long over and it would benefit all Americans if you would either cease and desist or leave for some other country more hospitable to your eccentric views.

New Southerners, like myself and virtually everyone else I know, mock everything you do and are now in the majority. We no longer will tolerate your twisted thinking. Trent Lott's fate is waiting you, so keep it up. I work at a newspaper and the kind of trash that you insist on promoting is simply laughed at by all who are even marginally reasonable in the newsroom.

Lincoln already is in Richmond for all time and it is Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and those other confederate fools who we will slowly but surely be removed from view throughout the south. Dixie has already been re-populated just like Sherman predicted it would need to be for complete victory. You lose again. God bless the United States of America."- - Jon Frank

Well it only took me about 30 seconds to Google out Jon Frank down in Norfolk and I posted his hate post on Dixie Daily News and he was trashed by hundreds of e-mails. Still, this is what we are up against but I have faith in the future. Listen to what young Stacy Wade Harris III of Georgia wrote recently about Abraham Lincoln in his comments about the proposed Lincoln Statue.

"I am only 10 years old but I feel like I have already hated Lincoln for 110 years." With determination like this from a 10 year old boy, which side is going to win this struggle? You are right, we will!

But make no mistake, we have a long way to go. On August 7^th, 1999, the national Southern Party reached its zenith in media coverage, respectability and acceptance at the Asheville Declaration Event held 100 miles North of here in Flat Rock, NC. A lot of water has run under the bridge since then. The event was a success but as we all know since that time, a failure in national leadership, infighting and splits have divided and re-divided the effort.

I will point no fingers at anyone because I have been as involved and as at fault as anyone else here in this room or elsewhere and not invited. We cannot blame our failures and mistakes on others not here to defend themselves. Third Party efforts are difficult at best in today's two party monopoly which controls this nation with an iron hand and a jack boot. I certainly can't say whether education instead of political action, or third party efforts or working within the GOP is the best course of action. Only time will tell whether one route or a combination is the best course of action to achieve victory. Most of us were inexperienced in building a national or state organization and we didn't know each other. We just did our best and it wasn't good enough at the time. I would venture to say we all now know each other here in Abbeville. Would you agree? All of us know the others strengths and weaknesses, our hot buttons and views on a wide variety of issues.

I want to ask each of you here today to look your harshest critics in the eye or those who you have criticized the most and say sometime today, "I'm sorry for my actions, will you forgive me". We were all trying to do what was right for our movement [The Federation does not believe all were innocent, but that some were and are deliberate agent provocateurs and saboteurs], the political effort and Dixie and like all new organizations and inexperienced individuals; we are not perfect and have made many mistakes. God knows I'm guilty.

I want to ask my good friend, legal scholar and compatriot, Jack Graham to stand up. Now he is a very successful, well-respected legal and constitutional scholar who worked very closely with Quebec in their legal discussions and threats of secession with Ottawa. He is the author of several books including the most recent "A Constitutional History of Secession"

Why am I asking him to stand up? Because I owe my friend Jack, a public personal apology. I not once but several times characterized him as a "scumbag lawyer" and for that I apologize. Now for me, scumbag and lawyer sort of go together like "damn and politician" or parasite and federal government employee. Still that is no excuse. I'm sorry Jack, will you forgive me? Thank you Sir. I guess a sometimes stockbroker calling a lawyer a scumbag is sort of like the pot calling the kettle black anyway, right? I see all of you agree with that statement.

So look to the left and right and shake hands and let bygones be bygones and lets put our shoulders to the wheel and get on with the task at hand. What do you in the audience say?

Now, I too, have been called everything in the book for my Confederate activities! There is a price for defending Dixie, constitutional limited government and advocating a free South and make no mistake about it.

It is time for all of us to place the rancor of personal differences and spirit of divisive politics behind us and move forward again putting the Southern movement first and ourselves a far distant second. I urge all current and past SP leaders, members and Southern activists to heed the call of Dr. Michael Hill, and this conference, discard the failed national organization and begin anew in the spirit of brothers and sisters of the South. We want the many former SP members and supporters of Southern heritage to again have faith and believe once more in our sacred mission. Our goal is the resurrection and reestablishment of a free South through the constitutional, democratic, political process and education. We hope this movement for a return to limited government will spread all across these United States from where liberty began here in the Southland.

Also, Southern political action whether through the Southern Party effort, other third parties or within the GOP often isn't exactly glorious activity like we often think of our brave Confederate ancestors in the War For Southern Independence. Now in reality, after seeing the movie, "Gods & Generals" last Sunday and "Gettysburg" a few years ago, its hard for me to find glory in warfare.

Advancing the democratic political cause of Dixie isn't glorious either. If you think advancing the cause of Southern nationalism is glorious, ask those in this room who have often paid a very high price in terms of careers, social acceptance, marriages, relationships and loss in income. There were many who enjoyed the glory of the moment with The Asheville Declaration in Flat Rock but who did not have the determination and fortitude to stick this long march out. Also, the understandable explosion of blind patriotism after the 9/11 terrorist attack was indeed our movements dark Valley Forge period but contrary to those naysayers who forecast doom, gloom and failure for the Southern movement, we are today growing and organizing across the South. Witness the recent political victories in GA and here in South Carolina.

Let's face it, we are all here today because of a belief and loyalty to the principles of liberty, limited government and democratic self-determination set forth so eloquently in the original Asheville Declaration. I want each of you to take some time and re-read this document and pay particular attention to the long list of signers of the Declaration and look around you and see who isn't here. How many are still here today fighting the battle, walking the walk that every signer pledged his honor to do those three and half years ago? Looking out I see Jim Lear from Florida, Madison Cook from Tennessee, Mike Crane from Georgia, Jack Graham from Quebec and Minnesota, Dick Bedwell from Kentucky and myself from North Carolina.

Yes, it is sadly apparent that there were many sunshine Southern patriots who enjoyed basking in the glory and media attention of Flat Rock but when the dark clouds of adversity, trial and danger came on the horizon they scattered like the Confederate deserters from Stonewall Jackson's own brigade in the "Gods and Generals" movie. I say to them, good riddance and it is far better to know early on who you are fighting with and depending on as a team than to learn they just aren't up to the battle later when its really important. If any of you here today question whether you are up to the struggle look behind you, there is the door! Some may return when a real State's Rights Confederate plan unfolds. [What about the Federation plan for such restoration through the CSA??]

Stonewall said it best to paraphrase his movie comments, "cowardice under fire isn't a solitary offense but rather an offense against every brave soldier fighting for the cause, every Southern family who has lost a loved one in the battle and every supporter whatever the price they have paid for Dixie."

Look around you here today and understand there are far more people missing than just those cowards who could not stand the heat of battle, the negative media attention and the personal attacks of our enemies. There are individuals not here because they made too many mistakes and such is the price of leadership. We should welcome those honorable leaders back into the fold as they leave leadership positions and rejoin those of us in the rank and file. [This is a plea to desert the Federation of States whom the League has long opposed covertly and join as junior members their organization, the League of the South which has no plan except for the top leaders of the League to be their leaders.]

We also welcome back the many who grew tired and rejected the infighting in the Southern movement. Who here could question their reasons for backing away from the battle and the movement? This dark period brought out the worst in us but since then I have seen over and over again, just as I have observed so far in Abbeville, the best in us as we have all worked together to advance the cause.

You are the leaders of tomorrow's Southern Party and Southern political effort, not those of us at the Asheville Declaration back in 1999 who participated in the founding of the Southern political party effort. Brothers and Sisters of the South who are here today, I salute you for your courage, bravery and dedication to the cause.

Take this mantle of Southern liberty and Southern rights forged in our battle against the enemies of Dixie and I'm sorry to say, sometimes in ignorance against other Southern patriots and go forward because I know in my heart that the Lord is with us. Do you believe in your heart and soul that he is with us here today in Abbeville, SC? Then what do we have to fear?

Here in the Southland, we are the last remnant of a great Western civilization that brought prosperity, Christianity and liberty to much of the western world. Today our nation Dixie is occupied but no more than our Northern friends and Western neighbors by an empire out to rule the world in these last days. Remember, in the dark times of defeat during the first American War for Independence led by Southerners, we pulled the American colonies through to establish the great American experiment in limited republican government. I believe that experiment was divinely inspired by great men but not perfect men, individuals just like us, all fallible, failing at times, with egos and pride sometimes overruling common sense and inspiration.

Then again, 84 years later, Southerners once more followed their faith, their prayers and their ideals of liberty and self-government and said NO to tyranny and an evil political takeover of the United States during the War For Southern Independence. They were the true patriots fighting the destruction of our Constitution and Bill of Rights by the special interests behind Abraham Lincoln. Hundreds of thousands of Southerners paid the ultimate price for defending the original American Dream of limited government against Lincoln's invading legions.

And so it is today, we once again dare to be so bold as to resist the empire, we dare to say no to the those in power in Washington, DC and their evil plans for one world government and total economic, political, social and religious control over us. We can not do any less than this.

What is important for each of us here today to remember is Abraham Lincoln was not the devil incarnate. He was probably, at least earlier in his life, an honorable man trying to better himself and his political career but making one tiny lapse in judgment and honor at a time, step-by-step down the road to selling out his principles and honor. [Abraham Lincoln led a covert Communist Revolution to destroy the Confederacy of the United States of America and replace it with a highly centralized Corporatist (Federalist) State. His was no tiny lapse in judgment, but a dedicated Marxist power grab against the Confederacy and the Constitution of our forefathers.]

I submit to you that President George Bush is no better and no worse than Abraham Lincoln. An honorable man, a Christian man but who has over time begun to also sell out his honor and integrity to the oil interests [and family dreams of WORLD EMPIRE] just the same as he did earlier to the PC crowed when he had our Confederate plaques in Texas quietly removed in the dark of night. Yes, this maybe was not a big thing in itself in order to advance his political career but history is full of tiny steps of failure in duty, honor and integrity which have led to the fall of great men and women, great nations and yes great empires.

The Southern movement should be like the Confederate army in political, economic and media affairs. [This is a call for an Admiralty type Southern organization which is highly Centralized.] When leaders fail, as they have in the national Southern Party, they should not have to be forced to resign taking years of effort and loss of support in their wake. You are here today to organize and create your state parties and look into your future options regarding some sort of I hope limited national organizational structure. Choose your leaders well. Choose men and women of statue and humility who when they fail the test of time and leadership that they will voluntarily rejoin the ranks. That is what I'm doing here today. [Dr. Hill admits on page162 that the League of the South is governed hierarchically (under corporate law) with a Board of Directors who govern the national organization; State Chairmen and boards of directors govern their respective States; and district chairmen govern local districts in each State including California and New York.][Dr. Hill's organizations have always been top down centralized control operations.]

I was part of the original Southern national committee [SNC] and it was a real privilege to give the welcome speech in Flat Rock but our efforts failed despite our best intentions. I do not seek any leadership roll in the Southern Party but I will proudly march in your ranks, advance your cause and efforts on Dixie Daily News and hopefully, prayerfully join all of you one day in a free, democratic limited Republic here in Dixie or across the United States. One that our founding fathers and Confederate forefathers would support, honor and feel appropriate to the cost in lives and efforts they expended, so long ago. We should hold their visions of liberty and self-determination up for all the world to see and so if they were here today they would say to us, "well done".

In the end, it is our duty to remain in the fight until either ultimate defeat or the victory is won because for me, I enlisted until the conflict is over. Speaking for just myself, one solitary Southern man, the conflict and political movement is not over until we are again, a free people and a free nation taking our place among the nations of the earth.

I will not pick up my marbles and go home. I will not when the going gets rough, retreat to some moderate, cowardly position in order to achieve a measure of social acceptance or protection from our enemies and I know none of you here today in this room in Abbeville, South Carolina, will do this either. [That sounds good Ron, but why, on August 18, 2003, did you have to ask us to remove your excellent Southern Party Charleston Speech of July 1, 2000 about the Confederate States of America from our Federation of States web page? You indicated that your employer was concerned and pressuring you?? Who is that? Did you not retreat to a more socially acceptable position moving instead to the New Southern Nation idea and abandoning the CSA?]

Let us pick up and emulate the bravery, the honor and the belief in our Lord shown by great men like Jackson, Lee, Forrest and Jefferson Davis and march to where the battle is. It is not for me that I do this and I know in your hearts it isn't for you either. It is for my children and grandchildren not yet born that I choose this course.

How often I hear, if we only had a Robert E. Lee, a Stonewall Jackson, a Nathan Bedford Forrest or Jefferson Davis today? Then we would move forward, attack and roll over the enemy. Now correct me if I'm wrong but I've never read where Lee, Jackson, Forrest or Davis asked where were the leaders back then, like George Washington, Nathan Hale, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson? Do you think for a moment that any of them felt worthy or up to leading the cause? No, with all the insecurities and odds we fact today, they just did their duty.

Look around you here in this room. You are the Robert E. Lee's, the Stonewall Jackson's, the Nathan Bedford Forrest's and Jefferson Davis's that will lead our occupied nation and people to freedom, victory and independence (this is a hint of the earlier speeches of Ron Holland, but we can now know that he has changed his goals and is not seeking the Restoration of the Confederate States of America, but a new Federalist style government). If Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson were here today, there would be no grand speeches, no egos, power-plays, only the grim determination to do their duty. Can we do any less?

May we remember that none of us are perfect and without blame, may God bless our future efforts and we all learn from our shortcomings and personal inadequacies of the past. Just as we here today believe in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so it also can be with the resurrection of the Southern political movement, here in Abbeville today. May God Bless Dixie and each of us here today with wisdom, forgiveness, love for each other and the steel of determination to free our occupied nation.

In closing, may we repeat the prayer of Robert E. Lee as he asked the Lord on bended knee "to give us a place and a name among the nations of the earth." But remember as Stonewall Jackson said "Duty is ours, consequences are God's.

There is no turning back. Robert E. Lee stated to his son, "Do your duty. That is all the pleasure, all the comfort, all the glory we can enjoy in this world".

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Abbeville Conference, go forward now and do your duty for yourselves, the movement, our nation and our God.

I believe our American Founding Fathers and our Confederate Founding Fathers are here today here in Abbeville, South Carolina cheering us on, just like they were here in this small Southern town on November 22, 1860 with another small group of Southern patriots. Remember the song:

Cheer, boys, cheer! We'll march away to battle!

Cheer, boys, cheer, for our sweethearts and our wives!

Cheer, boys, cheer! We'll nobly do our duty,

And give to the South our hearts, our arms, our lives.

This is what you are about to do here today.

Do your duty! & May God Bless Dixie, the Southern heritage movement and your future political efforts.

We have an educational job to do with the folks of the South that the League has fooled thinking the League was a Confederate organization while they certainly are not. They have misled and misdirected hundreds of fine Confederate Americans.

We will be very surprised if we see real progress out of this League diversion towards Federalism. They have no complete plan and the plan they propose is not only a blue print for more involuntary servitude for Southerners, but flawed and contradictory as well.

However, since they give the outward appearances of being Southern Anglo-Celtics and speak much about protecting Southern Heritage and Culture, large numbers of partially educated Southerners and Confederates have been tricked into believing that the League of the South is genuine and for the Confederacy. These misled folks will be shocked to learn the League does not favor re-forming the Confederate States of America.

The League of the South is most assuredly NOT FOR THE CONFEDERACY!

Rather they are genuinely for a "New Southern Government" modeled after the Anglo-Celtic government of Great Britain with a True Federalist form of centralized government and Admiralty Law which would be more acceptable to the Bank of England or the Bilderbergers for a separate commonwealth from the United States (North). While it may appear that the plan of a New Southern Nation would be more likely to gain the approval of the Bilderbergers and their leaders, we have no information indicating that the League is consciously acting under such influence or direction.

By Advocating a New Southern Nation this does not mean they are for a Free and Liberated Confederate States of America. Not so!

A free Southern nation [not the restoration of the Confederate States] in which Southerners will be free to work out their own destiny with help from the guiding hand of Providence."

Hill continued: "If our critics oppose us, then let them oppose us on this issue and not on the myriad peripheral issues on which they seek to engage us. It seems to me that because the League has always been an organization dedicated to Southern independence, that particular issue would be the one upon which our opponents challenged us. But that has not been the case. Instead, they prefer to discuss slavery, racism, intolerance, and charge that we are a 'hate group.' Such tactics suggest that they are afraid to challenge us head-on on the merits of an independent South. But in the end, we really don't give a damn what they think about our vision for an independent South. It is this we pursue, and we pursue it for the good of our people. We don't need to explain ourselves any further." END OF RELEASE

The Federation says: There is nothing Confederate in this Hill release - just a New Southern Nation.??? The above may have been directed at us or me. I was the only one in the TO: list of the email, which is not conclusive, but suspicious. If so, our NEW ITEMS opinion pieces on our Web page must have hit home hard. What is their vision for an independent South? Read on and see.

NOTE from the Federation: The Bildebergers have presented the idea decades ago for the splitting of the United States into several federal districts. It would seem that splitting the South into a "true federalist district" patterned after the Washington, D.C. would be in the interests of the New World Order, but not the restoration of the Confederate States of America as a Confederacy of State Republics with no "private" central bank and no income or wage tax.

League of the South CORE BELIEFS

ANNOTATED WITH COMMENTS IN ITALICIZED RED TEXT

For several months, the League Board of Directors has been working on a statement of core beliefs. On behalf of the Board, I'd like to present them for your use in explaining the League's plans and objectives. We hope that they will be particularly useful in your recruitment efforts.

At its founding meeting in June 1994, The League of the South adopted the following Statement of Purpose:

"We seek to advance the cultural, social, economic, and political well-being and independence of the Southern people by all honourable means.."

Our Core Beliefs Statement is a more detailed explanation of our views on the four areas set forth above-the cultural, social, economic and political.

I. Cultural Independence

The League of the South believes that Southern culture is distinct from, and in opposition to, the corrupt mainstream American culture. Therefore, we stand for out own sublime cultural inheritance and seek to separate ourselves from the cultural rot that is American culture. We believe that

a. The South still reveres the tenets of our historic Christian faith and acknowledges its supremacy over man-made laws and opinions; that our Christian faith provides the surest means of securing the welfare of all mankind; and that our primary allegiance is to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Church. What is meant by "His Holy Church"? Does this refer to a particular denomination or is the term more general meaning the various denominations and deviations of Christian Churches? Is this a call for or justification for a theocratic type of neo-monarchal government? Note: Dr. Hill writes in British English spelling claiming that was what was used in Dixie. However, it was France who mostly helped the Confederacy in its defense against the Lincoln Invasion and the writings of the CSA Congress are mostly in "American English". This is another indication of the likely monarchal leanings of Dr. Hill.

II. Social Independence

The League of the South asserts that Southern society is radically different from the society impressed upon it by an alien occupier. American society today is egalitarian and Marxist and is devoid of any grace or charm. In contrast, we believe in a Southern society that

b. Is structured upon the Biblical notion of hierarchy and recognition of the natural societal order of superiors and subordinates where Christian charity (as found in the second Table of the Law) toward our neighbors produces harmony and stability. Christ is the head of His Church; husbands are the heads of their families; parents are placed over their children; employers rank above their employees; the teacher is superior to his students, etc. This exposes the old world view of monarchies and not of a free people, but of people in bondage as a desired view of the League of the South. In other words, justification for a neo-monarchal form of government of which the Federal Union of the United States already embraces.

f. Values and sustains true freedom of association for individuals, families, organizations, and other human institutions. Indeed, the Bill of Rights of 1791 establish most of the rights which may not be offered to the people by any government, but rather are their's by right and government may not infringe against these.

g. Believes in the rule of law and the wise, benevolent, and righteous application of justice by ecclesiastical and civil authorities. Wise and benevolent are terms defining a monarchal form of government. We should have no statement of "ecclesiastical" justice as that is reserved unto religion or a theocratic government and not a free civil government.

III. Economic Independence

It is the League of the South's assertion that the system of fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, unfair trade agreements, outsourcing of jobs, and confiscatory taxation imposed by the American Empire have reduced considerably the Southern People's standard of living. We believe in an economic and financial system that:

a. Has a monetary system where the currency is fully backed by gold and silver bullion.

This is a great idea, but it is a fraudulent suggestion that such is reasonably possible. We have no gold to speak of as it has been mostly stolen. How, then, can we back our currency in gold if we have no gold? Such a policy would be a fraud on the people. A policy of working towards a gold standard would not be fraud, but would take many decades to build such reserves as to implement the full 100% backing of gold and silver of our currency.

b. Abolishes all forms of the "income tax" on individuals and families. Yet, Dr. Hill advocates income tax or wage tax in his Grey Book of plans for the New Southern Nation and tax breaks for certain classes. Come on Southerners, do you see this double speak?

c. Has no central banking system. This would make a cohesive Confederacy impossible and would introduce an anarchy of States and currencies rampant with fraud and opportunity for corruption both domestically and internationally. The Confederacy, however, should never surrender from the Treasury Department the authority and responsibility to serve as the nation's central bank and likewise, the various State Republics belonging to the Confederacy should be admonished to maintain Central State Banks under their State Treasury Departments as well. The Treasurer of the CSA shall be the national central bank, never to be owned by private individuals nor artificial persons whether foreign or domestic. The initial currency of the Confederacy should be based on what we have - - OIL!

d. Abolishes all taxes on real property, both during the life of the owner and at his death, and establishes alloidal title to land as the only recognized form of ownership. These propositions are being made dictatorially since it should be the States and not the Federal government to decide what taxes are to be. See the Constitution of the United States. The National government taxes directly to the States according to apportionment and not the people.

e. Levies indirect taxation (for example, sales and use taxes, tolls, etc.) as a reasonable and necessary means for the support of government functions. The national government has no business leaving these types of taxes, but rather direct taxes against the States for national budgets approved by the States and for the leaving of tariffs on imports and exports with foreign nations. The States may levy taxes on sales and use and tolls, etc. according to their own legislative laws, but would be foreclosed against leaving tariffs on imports and exports to foreign nations as States since they yield such to the national confederacy.

f. Enforces a "full disclosure" policy against banks that practice fractional reserve banking.

How is it that there would be any disclosure on banks except to expose and prevent fractional reserve banking and since banks shall be only chartered by the States that responsibility lies mainly with the States and not the Federal government.

g. Sets reasonable legal limits on usury, discourages personal debt, and encourages personal savings. This is not the business of the national Confederacy.

h. Establishes equitable and just trade agreements with foreign nations. In other League literature free trade with no import or export taxes are advocated???

i. Keeps regulation of business and commerce to a reasonable limit. The only regulation of business and commerce that the national Confederacy would have the jurisdiction to oversee would be interstate and with foreign nations.

IV. Political Independence

a. Is a true constitutional confederation of sovereign, independent States that separately order and control their own internal affairs while working in unity with their sister States to conduct foreign affairs. Sounds good, but not shown by previous efforts nor in this attempt to organized top down.

b. [The League's envisioned Confederal Government] Recognizes State representation in the legislature of the confederated States. This indicates the concept that the national will allow State representation. Indeed, it should be just the reverse; with the States recognizing the continuation of the national Confederacy so long as no usurpation of State authority is enacted.

e. [The League's envisioned Confederal Government] Maintains secure borders and strictly limits immigration. The primary responsibility for immigration policy rests with the individual States and the maintenance of their borders and enforcement of the immigration policy is also reserved to the States. Only in case of invasion and at the request of a State shall the national Confederacy send forces to stop such invasion.

f. [The League's envisioned Confederal Government] Revives the use of State Militias in place of maintaining large, standing armies. The use and allowance of militias, both regulated and private, is up to the States.

g. Does not infringe upon the individual or collective right to purchase and own firearms of any type suitable for self-defense. The States are admonished to such a policy, but each State should decide for themselves.

h. [The League's envisioned Confederal Government] Restricts the right to vote solely to those who are recognized as citizens of one of the member States of the confederation. How is such recognition established? Ultimately, the right to vote in local, county and State elections should be up to the States and not the national.

Much of the Core Belief Stand of the League of the South is admirable and are high ideals which are normally shared by many Southerners including those in the Federation of States and the SIP State parties. However, by their fruits ye shall know them. The League of the South operates largely under admiralty or corporate law. They have repeatedly chosen men and backed efforts to establish highly centralized Southern party operations and, a Southern National Congress (SNC) carefully chosen to legislate and form a New Southern Nation from the top down. This would be a nation apparently somewhat like Washington, D.C. perhaps with more of a British style of neo monarchy, but with a Southern name and flavor, even using the term "Confederation" to infer that it would be a State's Rights decentralized structure which not only has not been reflected by the organizational methods or by past actions and certainly will not be called the Confederate States of America.

Comments by the Federation of States:

Constitutional Republicanism and True Federalism are ideas espoused by the League of the South in their core beliefs. These ideas have been spoken of repeatedly for several years by Dr. Hill and his spokesmen. Notably absent from the writings and speeches of Dr. Hill have been mention of the Confederate States of America or anything about restoring the Confederate States of America. Rather, he speaks of southern culture and heritage and "Dixie", the Southland and Anglo Celtic heritage.

From inferences, their teachings and sidebar statements as well as practice it would seem that what the League of the South prefers would be a new Southern Nation with a strong executive (perhaps called a President) but with the powers of a king and a type of a house of Lords and a house of Commons with a Prime Minister after the British model. This would make sense since the Bank of England owns most of the stock of both the Federal Reserve Bank system and the District of Columbia which is incorporated and includes all U.S. Federal Districts. Owning most of the stock gives the Bank of England control.

Whether such a government might espouse Southern Heritage and Culture or even uses the term "Confederation" hardly suffices, however, since State's Rights would likely not exist beyond commonwealth status. The League of the South also prefers an all white Anglo-Celtic nation, or at least a government thereof. This seems to be hopelessly short sighted and not based upon demographic realities in America today. The League of the South refers to the Federalist government that Alexander Hamilton pushed and maneuvered upon our forefathers in 1787 -1789 mainly and not to the true beginning of the Confederacy of the United States of America with the ratification by 13 States of the Constitution on March 1, 1781 (Called Articles of Confederation by the Federalists). Congress had authorized a committee to meet and make appropriate amendments to the existing Constitution, but Alexander Hamilton and James Madison basically rewrote much of the Constitution of 1781 as an amended Constitution which was submitted for ratification while Thomas Jefferson was ambassador to France.

The original Constitution of the United States, for clarification, was called (mainly by the Federalists) the Articles of Confederation. Apparently, from the type of political and new government efforts we have officially seen from the League of the South it appears that they mostly adhere to the philosophies of Alexander Hamilton and James Madison who were "True Federalists" with Hamilton leaning towards a monarchy.

Dr. Hill established an organization in about 1999 called the Southern National Committee (SNC) and appointed Jerry Baxley, Madison Cook and George Kalas as the officers. The SNC, in turn, organized the Southern Party in several Southern States but the operation was highly controlled from the Virginia headquarters of the Party and thus grossly un-confederate even though they did wave the rebel flag. This effort imploded within a couple of years, but the Southern Party of Texas re-organized through constitutional conventions as the Southern Independence Party (SIP) and in May 2000 organized the plans for and constitution of the National SIP and the Federation of States.

The Federation of States is a non profit educational and coordinating trust run by the various Chairmen of the State SIPs and the stated goal was the Restoration of the Confederate States of America. This was not favored by Dr. Hill nor Madison Cook who were not supportive of the Restoration idea. Amazingly, they tried to call the Federation of States a dictatorship- - the very thing we had been witnessing on the part of the League efforts with the Southern Party. That, of course, was ludicrous since the Federation is run by the various elected Chairmen of the State SIP's and a simple majority vote elects the acting chairman thereof. That is far from a dictatorship and is rather a beautiful example of State's Rights in action.

The League of the South leadership are NOT CONFEDERATES and they DO NOT FAVOR THE RESTORATION OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA!

Rather they seem to be interested in building political power in some sort of Dixiecrat Party using the vehicle of the Southern National Congress Committee (SNC) to build a Southern National Congress allegedly as a political power base for the South to gain footage with the United States while remaining loyal to the United States and thus to various wars and New World Order program.

To illustrate these considerations, we will quote from the League's "Grey Book" which is deemed by Dr. Hill as the plan for the formation of the Southern National Congress and a New Southern Nation to be called a "Confederacy of Southern States (CSS)" while ignoring the grand history of the Confederate States of America (CSA) and the blatant fact that the government of the CSA never surrendered, but was simply militarily over run and occupied. Eventually, all of the gentlemen holding various seats and offices in the CSA died away leaving the governmental structure in tact, but un-staffed.

Such an incredible position by the League of the South in proposing a New Southern Nation is at least appeasement at its worst and certainly a turning of their backs on the Confederate States of America, but it is also a stab in the back for the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) and all other true Confederates. This is a Grand Design by certain men in the League to divert the energies of the Southern people of Confederate leanings into an effort alien to what their ancestors fought and died to preserve.

In reality, hundreds of excellent men and women have been misled as to the true intentions of the League of the South. By the way, should any League State official question what the League and Dr. Hill are proposing, they will be quickly removed top down style (corporate or admiralty practice) as seen in Virginia.

The Federation of States, by stark contrast, is working to re-staff the existing State and National Governments of the Confederate States of America and is actively conducting Voter Registration Drives in all of the Southern States to Register persons as actual Citizens and Units of their CSA State governments. Restoration is under way and liberation with a Peace Treaty are the initial goals towards Re-establishment of the Confederate States of America as a free and sovereign nation in the world.

In the FAQ section of the web page for the Southern National Congress an incredible admission is aired and then politically passed off with the apparent intention of planting ideas of appeasement, compromise and abandonment of our Nation, the Confederate States of America The SNC Staff, led by Dr. Hill under the title The Grand Bargain stated: "For several decades following the War Between the States, [some] Southerners followed the admonition of General Robert E. Lee, to obey the law and conduct themselves as Americans loyal to the changed circumstances. As a result, the Reconstruction and the U. S. Federal occupation ended in 1877 [really??? Baloney!], and the southern fibre-moral, political, and military-was added to a nascent American nationalism."

"By the 1890's this truce of sorts became social, as well as structural. There emerged between North and South what is sometimes called the "Grand Bargain" [Grand Design or Deception]. Under this bargain, the North agreed to end the demonization of the South and cease further Reconstruction, and the North agreed to acknowledge that the South had been sincere and honourable in the late unpleasantness. Confederate heroes like Lee and Jackson became for a time, American heroes, just as Washington and Jefferson before them."

In exchange for peace [Peace??? Where is the Peace Treaty?] and respect [Respect ?? under military, civil, economic, educational, religious and social occupation??? That is the illusion of respect as a tool of appeasement for the swallowing by Southerners to permanently give up their nation the CSA.] and for being permitted to memorialize the Confederacy, the South would forfeit two things:"

1. The South would concede that the United States should not have been broken up, and

2. The South would not attempt to reclaim the capital and control of its own resources that had been lost in the war.

While Dr. Hill then inferred that this was repugnant, but still he left the idea on the table and coupled with the anti-confederate stand of the League of the South and Dr. Hill one wonders if this was not intended cybernetics to help prepare folks to turn their backs on the CSA.

In the Grey Book, the League of the South Core Beliefs are supported and further defined. This book is called the plan to build a New Southern Nation and will be established by this Southern National Congress being planned in a vague way and with a carefully top down controlled organization.

One of the hair-brained ideas of the League is found on page 32 which is that this New Southern Nation can be on a gold standard for its monetary system. Clearly, the international bankers have robbed America of its gold, except for a small amount of gold found in jewelry. The South especially has little gold and what it may have is owned by private citizens, mostly as low purity jewelry. To have over a Trillion dollars (1000 Billion) in gold backed currency would be impossible for now. To advocate such is to advocate fraud in banking or a fractional banking system with gold backing less than 1% of the currency. They are advocating that national mints be established in each State which would melt down jewelry for folks at no charge giving them gold coins. That is the method that might produce 1% or 2% of the needed amount and minting coins costs about $1.50 per coin. Who is going to pay that, the national or state governments in true socialist fashion?

The South must be realistic and instead of trying to have a gold standard, must at first establish instead a currency backed by oil. That, the South has.

On page 34, the League discusses Social Security as if the North will not pay Southerners who have paid in most of their lives. In reality, the Social Security is paid to Americans and foreigners alike who have worked in the United States and these checks are sent, regardless of whether such folks still live in the U. S. or perhaps now live in Israel, Germany, England, Mexico, etc.

Hill wants the National Government of this New Nation to levy a "one-time" tax on all wages to cover the suggested shortfall of social security in this new nation. He proffers that this "one-time" tax will miraculously fade away as soon as the Trust Fund is large enough to cover all obligations. He then states that for those not yet being covered with a social security safety net, that the CSS government (national) will offer full and complete tax exemption for designated private retirement accounts.

Folks, you deserve this yoke on your backs if you fall for these propositions. Some people seem so dedicated to paying income tax that they must even like being so taxed and having the security of being a slave under involuntary servitude with income tax or wage tax. But, free men and women of the South do not like being slaves and do not plan this for their children and will not work to establish any such new nation advocating wage taxes. Again, do you realize what is being said here? This New National Government of the League will have National INCOME or WAGE TAXES for the people with certain Tax exemptions for certain classes of people or certain purposes.

Meanwhile, on page 35 we learn that the League's New Southern Nation will allow free trade on imports and exports further submitting the Southern people to competition with subsidizing governments and slave labor goods creating a terrible depression.

In the restored and liberated Confederate States of America, there will be NO INCOME or WAGE TAX against the Citizens of the CSA by the National government. If the United States takes the fraudulent stand to cut off social security benefits to those living in the CSA who have paid in to that system, the CSA can simply freeze Northern owned assets and use those to fund a Confederate Social Security System. The North would certainly back down quickly on their plans not to pay those who have earned the benefits.

The national government of the CSA will not be able to tax individual citizens at all. That is up to the States. The national government of the CSA may only tax the States directly according to apportionment determined by the census. The CSA National Government may charge export and import tariffs and income tax on Corporations operating inside of the Confederacy and upon Confederate Corporations operating overseas. Neither shall there be any national inheritance tax. However, there will also not be a myriad of national funding give-a-way programs nor huge unproductive bureaucracies and military forces.

On page 40, the League promises a revamped tax code and then contradicts itself and lies by saying that it will eliminate income, inheritance and property taxes while on page 34 the League is advocating national Wage Taxes (income tax). Furthermore, the League clearly plans for the national government to overlook the States and establish control of State tax programs for State citizens. Where is State's Rights?

On page 44, the League proposes Federal New Nation control of immigration, something that should and must be left unto the States during peacetime.

On page 45, the League refers to a phrase "separation of Church and State" which does not exist in the Constitution of either the United States or the Confederate States of America, but instead is a phrase widely used and taught by the Communist Party to fool Americans. The League visualizes national control of education and of government to keep it out of religion. This, again, is a State matter and the type of education and how it is paid for is a matter for each State and not the Federal New Nation.

The League proposes that the Federal New Nation phase out in a careful and deliberate manner compulsory, tax supported public elementary and secondary schools and dictate that State shall make facilities available. Where are the supposed State's Rights???

Dr. Hill is advocating a Federal New National police force (with limited involvement in the States, but involvement nevertheless with limited but yet Federal laws and arrest powers for Federal crimes in the States as authorized by the Judiciary Act of 1789 (thanks to Alexander Hamilton Federalists) with Federal New Nation marshals service operating in the States.

Dr. Hill advocates a Federal Intelligence operation which he terms "Con-federal" on page 50. This apparently is a wedding of the words Confederation and Federal. In other words his New Southern Nation should be called the Confederal Southern States meaning a Federal Confederation of Southern States. That makes sense due to the admission of Dr. Hill that he is a True Federalist and Constitutional Republican?? Constitutional Republicans today are extremely Federalized.

Is this Federal New Nation the "Con-Federal Southern States (CSS)" what you want as a substitute for your Confederate States of America (CSA)?? Is this a new and hidden reconstruction and effort to side track the true restoration movement? Indeed, the Federation of States believes that this New Southern Nation, aka "Con-federal Southern States" is really a camouflaged Counterfeit Confederacy?

Particularly from page 50 on, Dr. Hill begins using the terms such as they "will" be organized thus and so and they "will" do this and such as if this New Southern Nation is being dictated to by a monarch.

Some more page 50 quotes: "In order to protect our people and territory, an effective, con-federal level intelligence operation with a foreign orientation likely would be necessary. Good intelligence, the ultimate force multiplier, actually lessens the need for the use of armed force." (As in Pearl Harbor or 9-11?)

Page 51: "There should be at minimum a confederated Office of Foreign Intelligence [OFI] with two major subordinate divisions; one with the responsibility for collection (gathering relevant data from all sources) and an analysis division responsible for making a rough determination of what the data or information mean. The counter-intelligence or counter espionage function should be vested in the Confederated Law Enforcement Office [CLEO], but with strong coordination links to the Office of Foreign Intelligence." Aha! Do we see the essence of a Federalist Police State in the CSS?

The Confederate States of America will have an intelligence service, of course. However, there will not be Federal laws in place with Federal police inside of the States. They will concern themselves on coordinating with State police groups and have enforcement abilities only in national territory. A smaller, but potent intelligence service shall be sufficient for the CSA who will not be the world policeman and will not be making enemies in the world as the Federal Union of the U. S. has.

Under the title of Indian Affairs, page 52, Hill promises to free the Indians of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and make them full right citizens of the New Nation. One year after the independence of the CSS, the general government will return certain lands now under US Government control to the five major Southern Indian nations. The only restriction shall be that no casinos, gaming establishments, or immoral businesses are to be constructed on this land. (Shades of Bureau of Indian Affairs, they shall not have sovereignty)

Starting on page 60 is a dictation of what "will" be done and what "will or shall" be the policy, all of which should be up to the national congress and the States in a true Confederacy, but not so in a true Federalist nation. These shall be's continue through page 65.

On page 68, handicapped persons drawing disability payments from government are to be discriminated against and not allowed to vote.

On page 74, Dr. Hill discusses gaining "independence" for his New Con-federal Southern Nation. Yet, independence is not something needed by the Confederate States of America for they already gained that with their secession and the formation of the CSA nation which was recognized by President James Buchanan as well as Great Britain, France, Spain and Portugal. Today, the Confederate States of America simply needs re-staffing at the State and National levels and following that, a Peace Treaty with the United States of America which incorporated termination of occupation and separation. This process could be called Liberation, but never Independence which has already been done and won. Technically, the war between the States is not over and we would like for it to be over. For most Southern States secession today would be ridiculous since none of these States who seceded in 150 years ago ever voluntarily rescinded their secession. Thus, technically, the Confederate State governments still exist and are only un-staffed. For them to secede now would be to leave the CSA.

The existing "in-power" Southern States today are actually satellite States of Washington, D.C. (CORP. U.S.A.) Perhaps they could secede from the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INC., but those officials have no legal authority to do anything in the name of the still existing Confederate States which are now being actively re-staffed with Confederate Registered Citizens, not by some counterfeit Confederal Southern State government, but by the Confederate States of America, Our Southern Nation itself, the territory lovingly also called "Dixie". We are Confederate American Patriots by the way.

On page 80 of the Grey Book, Dr. Hill states: "The League of the South looks to the future. While we honour our ancestors and their noble struggles for liberty and independence, we understand that we cannot live in the past. . .we must not fall into the trap of trying to resurrect an exact replica of the society in which they lived, worked, and worshiped." [modern times justify centralist Federalism in today's world. right?? Wrong!]

This is the League's excuse for treasonous side-tracking of the continuation and Restoration of our Nation, the Confederate States of America. This effort by an organization that has held itself out falsely to have been a Confederate organization, has now proven its true colors and is attempting to mislead large numbers of excellent men and women who are Confederate American Patriots and stab the Confederate States of America and our forefathers in the back. This is indeed an attack.

This attack also attempts to derail those 30,000 some odd true SCV Confederates who dream of a restoration and who monthly salute to the Confederate flag and pledge the following:

"I salute the Confederate Flag with affection, reverence and undying devotion to the cause for which it stands."

However, it is likely that the so called "old bulls" in the SCV who just want a memorial society would be supportive of the neo-treasonous efforts of the League of the South.

As a matter of historical reflection, below are certain military laws taken from A Digest of the Military and Naval Laws of the Confederate States found on the Confederate States of America Government Web page at www.CSAgov.org which were exceptions that allowed President Jefferson Davis to suspend the writ of Habeas Corpus for a period in such cases:

First--Of treason, or treasonable efforts or combinations to subvert the Government of the Confederate States.

Second--Of conspiracies to overthrow the government, or conspiracies to resist the lawful authorities of the Confederate States.

Third--Of combining to assist the enemy, or of communicating intelligence to the enemy, or giving him aid and comfort

Fourth--Of conspiracies, preparations, and attempts to incite servile insurrection.

Sixth--Of spies and other emissaries of the enemy

Eleventh--Of persons advising or inciting others to abandon the Confederate cause, or to resist the Confederate States, or to adhere to the enemy.

True Confederates should keep these laws that existed in the time of war in mind since the laws and Constitution of the Confederate States are still valid even though enforcement under occupation is not an option. However, no peace treaty has ever been signed.

On page 81 the Grey Book states: "The League is therefore not a 'heritage' organization per se. While we revere and respect our heritage and the tangible symbols that represent it, we place our primary emphasis on the fight for Southern independence for ourselves and our children and grandchildren."

The Federation of States refutes that we must fight for "independence." That is another deception and misdirection by the League of the South. We gained our independence in 1861 and even U.S. President James Buchanan recognized that fact as well as the right of the Southern States to secede. Independence is a desired goal of a people who have never had their own nation and desire such.

The Southern States were overrun by the Lincoln hoards (including upwards of 200,000 German Socialist immigrants who had been sent to Lincoln by the Communist Karl Marx, many of whom fought under Sherman) and who occupied our national territory. Never the less, President Jefferson Davis refused to surrender the Nation of the Confederate States of America, even with the threat of death while he was a Union prisoner. He neither surrendered the Nation nor agreed to give up our independence. That unlawful Union occupation continues today as do many of the serious forms of reconstruction against our people while the North continues the plunder and absorb the benefits of their illegal occupation. The Union forced upon our people their Washington, D.C. satellite States to replace by force our true Confederate State governments and they rule today with their scalawag leaders in control.

It is not "independence" that the CSA lacks today. Rather the CSA needs RE-STAFFING, LIBERATION AND TERMINATION OF OCCUPATION. It is true that once we are liberated we shall be able to enjoy the benefits of independence again. However, in order to achieve Liberation, we must recruit CSA Citizens to become registered voters in the Confederate States of America. The League of the South wants to recruit "citizens" for their NEW SOUTHERN CONFEDERAL NATION which is in no way Confederate. We believe this is an attempt by establishment powers to derail the resurgence of the CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA.

On pages 82 - 83 of the Grey Book the League lists their steps and states: Fifth, we must translate our Southern cultural renaissance into organized political strength. Our governments - - confederal, State and local - - should be a reflection of our culture. [a Southern Federalist nation with a neo-confederate flavor.][Thus they caste away the true culture and existing laws of the CSA and stamp it into history and museums.]

In the COLLECTED ESSAY section of the Grey Book on page133-134 we find additional proof of the thinking of Dr. Hill along the lines of excusing appeasement against the Confederate States of America.

Under the title "Re-think" Dr. Hill states:

"A good friend of mine told me his Southern activism was creating friction between him and his wife. . . . [One day my friend's wife approached him and proclaimed] "So, you and your friends want to reinstate the Confederacy?" "Her tone -- half incredulous, half accusatory -- prompted his wide-eyed response. 'Yes.' 'Well that's the dumbest thing I ever heard.'"

"And, as much as it hurts to say so, my friend's bewildered wife was right". . . "to those who think we're going to bring back the Eleven-State CSA, with Richmond as its capital, my grandfather would rumble with a scowl and a shake of his head that 'you cain't un-fry an egg.' "And he would be right. There is no going back. Not even to something that deserves to live again."[This is outright appeasement by Dr. Hill against the government of the Confederate States of America.][Dr. Hill does not mention the Confederate States of America Constitution which was ratified March 11, 1861 and is a close similarity to the Constitution of the United States of 1879 except that the Bill of Rights are entered in as part of the Confederate Constitution and not as amendments and a few other minor differences. Of course, there is no 14^th or 16^th amendments. Why does Dr. Hill ignore this great Southern legal document of our Nation. Why does he refuse to acknowledge that the Confederate States of America was and still is our government albeit under occupation? This is where, for what ever his reasons, Dr. Hill misses the boat. We already have a Nation and yet Dr. Hill want to create a New Southern Nation.][Dr. Hill is not a Confederate!]

Dr. Hill appears to have a good analysis of the situation in the United States and its likely collapse. He also has a good assessment of the Southern movement. He knows that attempted reform movements accomplish little or nothing except maybe to maintain a little status quo. Unfortunately, his conclusions for a solution are for a bigge
