The Texas Senate passed a very strong resolution* in support of Confederate
monuments, flags and symbols commemorating the involvement of 115,000 Texas
veterans who fought in the Confederate Army and Navy while Texas was a member
State of the Confederate States of America, legal public policy favors the
display of the Confederate flag and supports the teaching in Texas schools of
the history and significance of that period of Texas history.
