AN ANSWER TO DISENCHANTED CONSERVATIVES AND
WORKERS
IN THEIR SEARCH FOR JUST GOVERNMENT
Vance Beaudreau 2002
Increasing numbers of conservatives and ordinary working men and women today
are disenchanted with the actions of the Republican party and business as usual
in Washington. Nearly all fully supported President Bush in the retaliatory
undeclared war that we prosecuted against the Taliban government of
Afghanistan. Even Democrats and Confederates supported the counter attack
against a foreign government who dared to attack Americans. So the U.S. went to
war.
Meanwhile, it is clear that the United States government is hell bent on
ramming their way over any obstacle, including the Constitution, to get what
they want. Who wants? Why those in control who are loosely termed the
Establishment. More astute observers notice similar major goals being sought
after by both establishment parties and their DNC or RNC controlling
committees. Such observers also notice the disregard for the Constitution
and/or unfair and lopsided enforcement of our laws skewed to assuage their own
political goals rather than justice. Aha, we see them; They don't like to be
seen you know. These crooks, however, are stealing much more than just our
money and our property. They are stealing our very souls, or if you prefer, our
liberty, freedom and independence and thus our very inner selves. In the
political correctness they demand of us, they are demeaning us to serfdom, a
most efficient form of slavery.
In George Bush we see a basically good man who seemed to have a feel for local
control and less Federal government, but who, due to the present emergency, has
increased government substantially. Also, we are seeing a developing lack of
interest in the so-called war on terrorism that is dragging on throughout the
world by the U. S. government. We are even seeing a waning away of
international coalition support, especially in regards to our one sided and
blind support of the Israeli aggression and war crimes against the Palestinian
citizenry. Some seem to think that we must support Israel regardless of what
they do because of vague religious reasons. Either way, there is discontent.
But, do these disenchanted conservatives and working men and women have a real
understanding of what our founding fathers had intended for us? Sadly, the
answer is that most do not have a clue, which shows the effectiveness of
decades of dumbing down of our people via government public schools, the media
and a socialized ministry in the pulpits. Our people, even educated
conservatives, lack an understanding of common law and of the difference
between centralized government and States' Rights. Little do they realize how
important these two tenants of government were to our founding fathers. The
issue for secession most assuredly was not human slavery, but the U.S.
government's denial of States' Rights, local control and common law justice.
As a class, most of these disenchanted conservatives and common folk would
likely be appalled at the idea of joining a Confederate movement. A few find
themselves in some historic involvement due to their ancestry, but often are
apologetic about even that. What is the source of their revulsion or cowardice?
We find that it has roots in their perceived need to be politically correct
regardless of their natural instincts to contrary positions. This is a result
of our educational indoctrination as a people. Another main root of this
unmanly behavior is ignorance of the true facts of history and finally, we have
the root of reconstruction which is a system that may punish us economically if
we rebel from the taught and expected political line of action and thought. Oh
to dare to be an independent individual, but they dare not.
Our revered founding fathers established the Confederacy in 1777 with the
signing of the Articles of Confederation. War resulted with the British Empire
who loathed the thought of losing their colonial serfs (economic slaves) to
freedom. But, agents of the British crown worked amongst them and pressed for a
more cohesive national government and thus the creation of a constitution to
establish that stronger central government rather than a confederacy of State
Republics with local control. Over 78% of the signers of the Constitution of
1789 were new and had not signed the Articles of Confederation. Were it not for
men like Thomas Jefferson we would not even have had the Bill of Rights
introduced as an after thought and thus they would have created for themselves
a King in the form of a super state in Washington, D.C.
But, as history has sadly shown, conniving men seeking their own gains and
power, unfairly and illegally applied even the statutes of the constitution.
This process began to upset many of the early citizens. Timothy Pickering of
Massachusetts was the first to threaten secession and Josiah Quincy was the
first to mention this in the halls of Congress in 1811 if Louisiana was granted
statehood. John Quincy Adams of Massachusetts later, in 1839, was the first to
petition Congress to dissolve the Union. Numerous important men in those days
believed that secession was a legitimate process available to dissatisfied
States. The most shocking of these was Abraham Lincoln, who in 1847 stated:
AAny people whatever have a right to abolish the existing government and form a
new one that suits them better.@ - (Congressional Records).
In the years that followed, however, Lincoln was exposed as a politician who
couldn't be trusted. History proved that Lincoln had little real regard for the
Constitution, if it stood in the way, and no regard for States' Rights. Because
of Northern legislative unfairness and taxation affecting mainly the South that
was used mainly for the building up of Northern interests, the South was
already unhappy with their yoke. But when Lincoln won the presidential election
in the new Republican Party, their future serfdom was sealed and they knew it.
Southern States legally and rightly seceded from the so-called Union and
attempted to return to the Constitution and the concepts of the founding
fathers of our nation who organized the Confederate States of America (CSA)
under the Articles of Confederation of 1777. The Congress of the CSA used the
U.S. Constitution, incorporated the 10 amendments within the body of the
Constitution and made a few other changes such as the substitution of the name
AConfederate@ for AUnited@. But, they began to correctly defer to the States
the Rights and powers that were intended to be kept by the States.
Jefferson Davis, a noted U. S. Senator from the South, was picked to be
President of this new Republic of State Republics formed after the model and
intent of their (and our) founding fathers. President James Buchanan, in his
last few weeks of administration before the swearing in of Abraham Lincoln, saw
seven States in the South secede from the Union after the election of Lincoln.
In a correct and peaceful manner, President Buchanan ordered the U. S. troops
stationed in various forts and ports of the South to turn over those facilities
to Confederate troops sent to assume command and retire to the North, thereby
officially, legally and peacefully recognizing the Confederate States of
America and the right of the South to form its own government and control its
own territory.
Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated on March 4, 1861 as President of the United
States. In his inaugural address he quoted one of the Republican platform
positions:
|
Resolved, That the maintenance inviolate of the rights of the States, and
especially the right of each State to order and control its own domestic
institutions according to its own judgment exclusively, is essential to that
balance of power on which the perfection and endurance of our political fabric
depend; and we denounce the lawless invasion by armed force of the soil of any
State or Territory, no matter what pretext, as among the gravest of crimes.
|
But a few days later, on April 15, 1861, Lincoln issued a Presidential
Declaration of War:
|
A PROCLAMATION FOR THE MILITARY INVASION OF THE CONFEDERACY
Whereas the laws of the United States have been for some time past, and now are
opposed, and the execution thereof obstructed, in the States of South Carolina,
Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, by combinations
too powerful to be suppressed by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings,
or by the powers vested in the Marshals by law,
Now therefore, I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, in virtue of
the power in me vested by the Constitution, and the laws, have thought fit to
call forth, and hereby do call forth, the militia of the several States of the
Union, to the aggregate number of seventy five thousand, in order to suppress
said combinations, and to cause the laws to be duly executed. The
details, for this object, will be immediately communicated to the State
authorities through the War Department.
|
Lincolns unjustified and criminal declaration brought a call from President
Jefferson Davis of the Confederate States of America in his inaugural speech of
April 29, 1861 as follows:
|
"The declaration of war made against this Confederacy by Abraham Lincoln, the
President of the United States, in his proclamation issued on the 15th day of
the present month, rendered it necessary, in my judgment, that you [the
Congress of the Confederate States of America] should convene at the earliest
practicable moment to devise the measures necessary for the defense of the
country." . . .

Back to our days, conservatives along with working men and women are becoming
more and more disenchanted with the Federal Empire in Washington. Many agree
with most of the platform of the Southern Independence Party (SIP). Some,
however, have suggested that we should hide our references to the Confederacy
and instead seek change for the benefit of the entire United States. Our answer
to that is two fold:
(1) There have been numerous third party movements aimed at reform. None have
come close to gaining power nor in achieving reforms. Nevertheless, we
recommend reform parties for those of you who find the Confederate leanings of
the Southern Independence Party objectionable.
(2) It is the fundamental main thrust of our efforts of the Federation of
States through the Southern Independence Party to restore the Confederate
States of America (CSA) and introduce massive reform in the planned new
government to return us substantially to the type of government envisioned by
our founding fathers when they first established the Confederacy of the
American Colonies in 1777 and again when in 1861 enlightened men sought to
return to the intents of those founding fathers with the creation of the CSA.
We do not care to interfere with the Government of the United States nor to
attempt reform therein. We shall concern ourselves with our own efforts to
regain our independence and restore freedom for our Southern people through
liberation from the illegal occupation by the United States of the Confederate
States of America which was never surrendered by President Jefferson Davis nor
Congress and whose ratified Constitution still prevails.
We look forward to building a North American continent of peace and prosperity
through fair trade with Canada, Quebec, Mexico and the United States for our
posterity. We do not anticipate another blood bath as occurred 140 some odd
years ago and plan for the peaceful political achievement of our goals. We
realize that most of the disenchanted conservatives and working folks are not
prepared for the strong message we are spreading and we do not wish to force
these things upon them. But, after study of the real history on the events we
have discussed, many will become ready. At such time that the United States
breaks apart from its own divisiveness and economic folly, a time long
predicted and sure to come, many people in the South will be ready to join our
effort for the sake of self preservation. We must have trained political
leaders ready to receive them.
For those of you not interested in us at this time, we hope that you realize
that by our pushing these reform issues for our own independence and
liberation, the rest of the United States may well benefit and their leaders
may offer some of these same reforms and actually get some of them passed. We
wish the best for you and extend a hand of friendship.
For those who might be interested in our program for the welfare and
freedom of our posterity, please inform yourselves. It is helpful to read the
various articles that we publish on our web page
www.southernindependenceparty.com. Additionally, please obtain and read
AThe South Was Right@ by James and Walter Kennedy, and AThe Southern Nation@ by
R. Gordon Thornton. This should adequately reinforce your decision to be with
us and to learn more true history. Ours is far from a lost cause.
In the closing days of the War of Northern Aggression, President Jefferson
Davis stated: "The principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself,
though it may be at another time and in another form." [Independence,
freedom, States' Rights and local control.]
You can be a Confederate American regardless of the State you live in. For
those in other States outside of the South we offer membership in the
Federation of States. In this way you can help, not only by your donations, but
by your political influence with your neighbors. For those within the Southern
States you can support the work at least by joining the Federation of States
which is not a political party, but the sponsor thereof. You can learn more and
inspire others from that forum or you may wish to join the Southern
Independence Party (SIP) of your State and help further the political
organization therein. Some of you may even wish to run for some local office.
These are more obtainable than you might imagine. Deo Vindice. Resurgam
Victorious!
