Listening to the most recent "State of the Union" address and the partisan bickering, lying and mud slinging that followed it, I couldn't help but come to some different conclusions. I believe addressing the State of the Yankee Empire is more fitting. To anyone capable of intelligent thought, the "Union" (as in "voluntary union of free and independent, sovereign states") no longer exists, and hasn't since 1865. But it is increasingly obvious, and nothing since "not so honest Abe" has accellerated the erosion of freedom like the post 9-11 madness. What a wonderful way to advance the cause of "Globalism" and Empire. While I wholeheartedly support our troops, I totally disapprove of their deployment. The service men and women are answering the call of duty, as a veteran myself, I salute them for that. It's the one's that sent them, that I have a problem with. First of all, the war against Afghanistan, was planned before the 9 11 attack ever took place, it's about OIL and other strategic minerals. The war with Iraq was just as much of a scam. Granted, Saddam is a creep, and a low down slime ball, and the world in general and Iraq in particular will be better off without him. It's not our place to "rid the world of all creeps", Iraq is (or was) a sovereign country. Did he have "weapons of mass destruction" ( nuclear, biological and chemical agents)? Yes, absolutely....we know this because we provided them to him, and the means of delivering them. As long as he was committing mass murder upon the "right people" ( the ones we wanted killed) he was an O.K. guy, but then the oil barons got to wanting his oil. This war is just another excuse to steal his oil.
But there is another perk for the elite in this "War against Terrorism," it has already been announced that this will be a protracted and ongoing war. As long as this continues, our Homeland Defense agency will be tightening the noose around our collective necks, stripping us of more and more liberty....while most of the American sheeple think it's O.K. Most Americans could care less about this intrusion or that, until it nails them. "Just don't interrupt my NASCAR race, or my ball game", they'll yell and scream for those contests, while the one that really counts goes un-noticed.The sheeple are so disheartened with the political system, most of them won't vote or pay any attention to the real news. They're content to allow the controlled "mediocracy" to digest and regurgitate just what we are meant to hear, and never question the validity of those reports. Others think there is a real difference between Democrats and Republicans, because there used to be. Yes, the Democratic Party USED TO BE the Party of Jefferson Davis, the party of Christian Southern people, of freedom and decency...but no more. How can any professing Christian support killing babies, or queer marriage ? Anymore, Democrats and Republicans are just opposite sides of the same worthless coin, both are now the party of Lincoln and Marx. Both "parties" are pushing for totalitarianism and globalism, they're just taking different routes to get there. Then there's the financial aspects, with the billions of dollars worth of war and "anti-terror" expenditures, this is another boom to the globalist's portfolio...the more debt, the greater return to their pockets. Remember they own the Federal Reserve Bank ! Nothing is being done to secure our borders, quite the opposite is true, with "Dubya's" plan to legalize the illegals, he's actually encouraging more to violate our borders.
We're actually less secure than ever, our borders are being overrun at a record pace. We have the highest deficit in history. We have more government goons than ever, violating our rights and our privacy, while the American sheeple run as hard as they can to make ends meet, just to try to keep their heads above water. Too busy making a living to notice or care what all is happening to them, or how enslaved they have become.All things considered, I guess things are looking pretty good for the globalist's American Empire.
