AGAINST OUR SOUTHERN RIGHTS

Sunday, February 22, 2004 8:38 AM - - Chuck, I enjoy Southern Heritage News & Views Newsletter. It keeps me quickly informed of the all out assault on the South. It is this same liberal Yankee mind set that everyone & everything in America ( and the world ) must be made into their likeness or destroyed that's causing our problems. The liberal Yankee " control freaks " forced the Southern States into secession in our attempt to escape this, " its my way or the highway " mentality. So far all our resistence has been sporadic & divided. We have many Southern groups fighting in many different directions, most are fighting the EFFECTS of this assault & not the CAUSE of it. Saving our flags, memorials, battlefields, holidays, etc, etc. is right but, its not going after the problem itself. Until we band together & force pressure on the root of our problems these liberal Yankees will continue setting these brush fires across the South & we will continue to run from one to the other trying to put them out. Its past time we dealt with the ones setting these fires or we can continue to be ran ragged trying to put them out. Had our efforts over the last 20 or 30 years been concentrated on gaining control of our local & state governments we would not be engaged in these fights today. They simply would not exist because we would be in control of our own present & future. Billy E. Price Ashville Alabama www.FederationofStates.org

Dennis Joyce, Chairman of SIP of Texas states: Billy did good this time!

Vance Beaudreau, Chairman of SIP of Louisiana states: That is the "bull's eye" of the matter. In those areas where we have even a few of our Confederate minded people in power, even in local areas, the Liberal Yankee attacks and reconstructionist efforts fail and go nowhere. I see value in our various efforts in celebrating Confederate holidays, performing memorials, parades, holding Confederate Barbeques, Balls and protecting Confederate flags mainly as valuable recruiting and publicity efforts, but otherwise of little value in stopping the Liberal assault on things Confederate.
As Billy Price points out, gaining control of our local and state governments is the key. We must organize politically in our counties (parishes in Louisiana) to hope to achieve local political presence. We have found that, even short of control, simply placing a few Confederates in office usually calms down the attacks against us. The Key is elect local Confederates!
